Refund policy

1. PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT

1.1 Nature of Handcrafted Products

All products offered by Anuradha Ramam (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) are handcrafted and handmade. By placing an order, the customer (“you” or “your”) acknowledges and accepts that:
  • Print irregularities may be present in handmade products.
  • Colour variations are inherent to the handcrafting process.
  • Such variations constitute the authentic characteristics of handcrafted merchandise.
  • Minor imperfections are intrinsic to the products' artisanal nature.

1.2 Quality Assurance

Notwithstanding the aforementioned product characteristics, the Company warrants the quality of its products and shall replace any product if the customer is not satisfied with their purchase for valid reasons as outlined in this policy.

2. RETURN POLICY

2.1 Pre-Shipment Inspection

All shipments undergo thorough inspection prior to dispatch from the Company’s facility.

2.2 Eligibility Criteria for Returns

Returns shall be accepted only under the following conditions:
2.2.1 Quality Requirements
  • Returns shall be processed only when a genuine quality issue exists.
  • The determination of “genuine quality issue” shall be at the sole discretion of the Company.
2.2.2 Product Condition Requirements
Products eligible for return must meet ALL of the following criteria:
  • Unused condition.
  • Unworn condition.
  • Unwashed condition.
  • Undamaged condition.
  • All original labels and tags need to be completely intact.
  • Retained in original packaging.
2.2.3 Time Limitation
  • All return requests must be initiated within three (3) calendar days of receipt of goods.
  • Receipt date is defined as the date of successful delivery confirmation.

2.3 Non-Returnable Items

The following categories of products are expressly excluded from return eligibility:
  • Customised products (made-to-order or personalised items)
  • Discounted products (sale items, promotional merchandise, or clearance goods)

2.4 Return Initiation Process

To initiate a return, customers must:

  • Submit the return request immediately upon identifying the issue.

2.5 Financial Terms

2.5.1 Refund Policy
  • The Company does NOT provide monetary refunds.
  • A store credit shall be issued in lieu of a refund.
  • Store credit shall be valid for six (6) months from the date of issuance.
  • Store credit may be applied toward any purchase on the Company’s website.
2.5.2 Shipping Charges
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • Return shipping costs shall be borne solely by the customer.
  • The customer is responsible for shipping the returned goods to the designated return address.

3. EXCHANGE POLICY

3.1 Pre-Dispatch Quality Control

All products undergo comprehensive quality inspection prior to dispatch from the Company’s facility.

3.2 Exchange Request Process

To request an exchange:

  • Items must be shipped to the designated return address within three (3) calendar days of receipt.

3.3 Company Error - Free Replacement

3.3.1 Circumstances
The Company shall provide free replacement or a full refund in the following circumstances:
  • Wrong item shipped
  • Wrong colour shipped
  • Wrong size shipped
3.3.2 Shipping Terms for Company Error
  • Replacement shipping charges shall be borne by the Company.
  • Customer shall not be billed for return or replacement shipping costs.

3.4 Exchange Value Requirements

  • The value of the exchange order must be equal to OR greater than the original order value.
  • Exchange order value may NOT be less than the original order value.
  • Where the exchange order value exceeds the original order value, the customer shall remit the difference amount.

3.5 Shipping Cost Responsibility

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • Return shipping costs shall be borne by the customer.
  • The customer must arrange and pay for shipping goods to the designated return address.

3.6 Eligible Exchange Circumstances

Exchanges shall be granted under the following conditions:
3.6.1 Sizing Issues
  • Genuine sizing discrepancies
  • Applicable ONLY to unused garments
  • Customers are advised to review size guides carefully prior to purchase.
3.6.2 Quality Issues
  • Genuine quality defects as determined by the Company
3.6.3 Shipping Error
  • The company has shipped an incorrect item to the customer.

3.7 Non-Eligible Exchange Circumstances

Exchanges shall NOT be granted for:
  • Minor design variations are inherent to handloom products.
  • Minor colour variations are inherent to handloom products.
  • Natural variations between handcrafted products.

4. NON-REFUNDABLE CIRCUMSTANCES

4.1 Refunds Shall Be Denied In The Following Cases:

4.1.1 Address-Related Issues
  • The customer provided an incorrect delivery address.
  • Outdated delivery address provided by the customer
  • Incorrect address format, including any Post Office Box address
4.1.2 Delivery Failure
  • Three (3) or more failed delivery attempts by the courier service
4.1.3 Customer Action
  • The package was refused by the recipient.
  • Products returned in used condition.
  • Products returned in damaged condition.

6. CHANNEL-SPECIFIC RESTRICTIONS

6.1 Cross-Channel Returns Prohibition

  • Products purchased through the Online Store CANNOT be returned or exchanged at retail store locations.
  • Products purchased at retail store locations CANNOT be returned or exchanged through the Online Store.
  • Returns and exchanges must be processed through the same channel as the original purchase.

7. GENERAL PROVISIONS

7.1 Policy Interpretation

This policy shall be interpreted in accordance with the terms stated herein. The Company reserves the right to make final determinations regarding the applicability of this policy to specific circumstances.
